nly used BAI materials for oil seal include: nitrile rubber, fluororubber, silicone rubber, acrylate rubber, polyurethane, polytetrafluoroethylene and so on. When selecting the material for oil seal, the compatibility of the material to the working medium, the adaptability to the working temperature range and the following ability of the lip to the rotating axis at high speed must be considered. In general, the temperature of the lip is 20~50℃ higher than that of the working medium, so attention should be paid to the selection of oil seal materials.
For details, please refer to rubber type and characteristics. The working range of oil seal is related to the materials used for oil seal: -40~120℃ for nitrile rubber (NBR), -30~180℃ for Alec rubber (ACM), and -25~300℃ for fluororubber (FPM).
